Abstract

This paper presents summary statistics from NSSO's 52nd Round and the 60th Round nationally representative survey data to profile emerging population and health trends in India over the period 1995-96 to 2004-5. Specifically it presents change in the age distribution and in the incidence of disease for those about 35 years of age for India. The paper concludes by raising a few questions about emerging concerns for our health system
