Abstract

Public sector companies have played a major role in the Indian economy. With 45% of all investment in India accounted for by PSUs and with the liberalisation of the Indian economy it is imperative that they become more productive and accountable. Are we ready to change and manage change? The objective response is that PSUs will not only have to change but change fast. The real challenge is in gearing up for change.
