Abstract
The Hindustan Group of Companies, which originated in 1976 in a leading North Indian metropolis, started with a medium-sized steel rolling mill. Within a short time span of three years, the rolling mill trebled its turnover and raised hopes of becoming a successful group - though with a difference. The Group is not a family concern. It was started by a team of highly qualified professionals-turned-entrepreneurs who had rich industrial experience in India and abroad. The success of the group was mainly attributed to the professionalism, zeal and vision of the entrepreneurs. They attracted talented and experienced individuals from well-known Companies in India.
