Abstract

The book under review, based on theoretical and empirical works in industrial sociology, is a welcome addition to the existing iterature on industrial relations in India. The main focus of this book is on three main areas of industrial relations; namely, (1) the nature and explanation of industrial relations, (2) the pattern of management-union and management—worker relationships, and (3) the trends in trade unionism in India.
