Abstract

With their rich academic backgrounds and extensive teaching and research experiences in the public enterprises management in India, the authors deal comprehensively in their book with various aspects of the public enterprises management in India. The book gives background on the rationale and objectives of public enterprises, the nature of public enterprises in different economies, the nature of public sector in Indian economy and presents a profile of public enterprises in India. Then the book goes on dealing with various forms of organizations of public enterprises, the role of the governing board and the issues related to effective functioning of the governing board.
