Abstract

This irreverent and perhaps slightly exaggerated account of the world of global consulting has behind it some sharp insights into a highly sought-after industry. Having worked in a range of consulting firms - from the strategy- and idea-driven Boston Consulting Group (BCG) to the more conservative and thorough Coopers & Lybrand (now Price Waterhouse Coopers) -Lewis Pinault has a range of experiences to offer and he does so in an engaging and easy-to-read manner. The book reads like a thriller, but every chapter ends with a section titled ' consulting demonology in which the author distil the learnings from his experiences. For the serious reader, these sections provide the most interesting food for thought.
