Abstract
Propaganda and Persuasion promises to be of interest to anyone who has encountered propaganda of some kind and who would like to know more about the ways in which it could shape the social setting around us. The promise, after all, comes from authors who have been studying communication in depth for over a decade. (Jowett is Professor of Communication at the University of Houston, and Joint Advisory Editor of the Cambridge History of Mass Communication; O’Donnell is Professor of Communication at Montana State University, Bozeman. Both have published widely and are sought-after consultants.)
