Abstract
This book is a comprehensive study of stress and the effect it has on work life. The style of presentation is simple and therefore even a person not familiar with stress and its related theories can follow the text easily. The topic is extremely relevant and important in the context of the current style of living. Competitiveness in the work place has reached an all time high and has left its mark. To managers, this book offers suggestions on how to recognise stress inducing factors and deal with them. But, as Jex himself says, the study of occupational stress is in its infancy.
