Abstract
An increasing number of management writers exploring leadership are promoting a more feminine paradigm of leadership as a means of encouraging business to become both more inclusive and more appropriately responsive. In this context feminine does not describe gender, but is being increasingly used as shorthand for a more human, holistic and inclusive model of leadership. Among these writers is Amanda Sinclair, who has strongly criticised Australian management for assuming that a leader will be ‘the heroicmale’
