Abstract

With liberalisation, the functioning of the public sector, its part in the economy and the direction of management education have come into question. A host of issues including the factors that hamper the smooth functioning of the public sector, the controls appropriate to PSUs, the consultancy business and how management education could be made more meaningful, are discussed.
