Abstract

The subject of venture capital and venture capitalists has captured the imagination of the public at large over the last five years. VCs have been both deified and pilloried, and have probably deserved their share of bouquets and brickbats. Undoubtedly, this exposure was in large measured fuelled by the high tech boom, the Silicon Valley, and our own obsession with all things IT.
